Overview
Coolum State High School's Instrumental Music program is one of the fastest-growing co-curricular programs on the Sunshine Coast, offering tuition in orchestral strings, woodwind, brass and percussion.
The program caters for musicians from beginner to advanced levels across 3 core performing ensembles.
Public performances are an essential part of the program, with all members expected to participate. Student learning and equipment are supported by the P&C Association.
Lessons
Students participate in a weekly group lesson during school time with a qualified instrumental music teacher and a weekly ensemble rehearsal before or after school.
Levies and uniforms
The annual fee for the Instrumental Music program is $150 per student. This levy subsidises the cost of consumable resources, musical instruments and workshops for all students in the Instrumental Music program. The black instrumental music performance uniforms can be purchased from School Locker.
