Coolum State High School’s P&C Association meets regularly at 6.00pm in the Conference Room, Administration Building. Although certain protocols must be observed, meetings are conducted in a friendly, light hearted manner, and new members are always welcomed.

The P&C is responsible for the School Canteen with all profits being directed back to support the school as a whole.

The school is also the recipient of funds which are raised by supporting local businesses through their loyalty program, and stationery packs purchased at the newsagents listed on the stationery requirements forms.

Your P&C Association is comprised of a small number of parents who choose to contribute two hours of their time once a month to benefit the students at Coolum High.

P&C Executive

Nicole Sklenars - President

I am very honoured to be serving as your new P&C President for the year ahead.  There are exciting plans for 2018 and beyond and it is fantastic to be working alongside such a passionate and engaged committee.

As a mother of three children at the school, and another not too far away, I am excited about supporting and contributing to the new vision of Coolum State High School.  It has come such a long way since my husband was here in the 1990's and has an amazing journey ahead.

Andrew Gorman - Treasurer

I moved to Australia from the UK in 2007 having, prior to that, lived in New Zealand for 5 years. I live and work in Peregian Springs as a Mortgage Broker. Previously I have been a Manager of Banks in Australia, New Zealand and the UK.

I do love to travel and frequently I am found onboard an aircraft in a cramped economy class seat flying somewhere in the world!

I have a son in Year 9 at Coolum High and I’m pleased to see how great progress the school is making year after year.

I am also the Treasurer of Coolum Business and Tourism and look forward to helping the School integrate more with our local community and businesses.

Clare Bates-Pay - Vice President

After spending several years travelling around Australia I moved to Coolum in 2007 with my husband and then only child.

In 2008 he started school at Coolum State School, where I have since been the Treasurer of the P&C Association.

After 10 years, two more children later and my eldest now in Year 11 at Coolum State High School, I decided to join the Coolum High P&C executive and to share in the journey ahead.

Coolum High has grown in leaps and bounds, not just in size, but opportunities for our students since I first became involved as a parent and P&C member back in 2015. I am excited and honoured to be a part of this innovative school and its vision for the future.

If there is anything I have learnt from my P&C involvement over the past 10 years, it is important that the school, us as parents, the P&C ad the wider community, work together in continuing to make Coolum State High School your school of choice, and to provide our children  with the best opportunities possible.

Monica Kutt - Secretary

My family moved to Coolum Beach from Melbourne at the beginning of 2017 to take over the Management Rights of Coolum Baywatch Resort.

With my son now in Year 7, I am excited to be involved with the P&C and support a growing and thriving school.

I was a teacher for over 20 years and still love school community and know the importance of working together. In this way, we can achieve great things for this school as it nurtures and educates our children, in partnership with us, as parents.
