Coolum State High School is an Inclusive school and the Diverse Learners Department teach and support students with Disability to prepare for the future. Providing students with an educational pathway that is accessible and respects and values diversity.

The Diverse Learners Department provide support for students in and around the following areas, while considering their complexities and individual needs:

Access, participation and engagement in curriculum alongside their peers.
Learning in a safe and supportive environment.
Achievement academically and socially with reasonable adjustments to support them and their individual needs.
Implementation of Individual Curriculum Plans.
Implementation of adjustments to curriculum and assessment.
