Our Junior Secondary Team is focused on ensuring that all of our future students and families are ready for the next step in the learning phase. As a result, we are working very closely with our local primary school leaders and staff to ensure that high school readiness is a process that starts at the commencement of Year 6, and will evolve in line with the needs of our students throughout the year. We are working with diligence to develop a vast range of opportunities to further strengthen the ties between the primary school and high school environment. This is to ensure that students feel confident, capable and ready to take the leap into the next phase of their learning.
This High School Readiness Schedule is provided to give students and parents information about the range of opportunities available at Coolum State High School.
In Term 3, students from nearby primary schools will be given the opportunity to visit Coolum State High School and engage in lessons conducted by our teaching staff. This program will give students a taste of secondary schooling and also increase their familiarity with our campus. More information on these visits will be distributed through your child's primary school.
