To provide further opportunities to excel, our teachers, in consultation with students and the school community, have developed specialist Academies to broaden and enhance the learning experiences of the young people attending our school so that they may reach their greatest potential here and beyond.
International Students who enrol for a period of one year (Terms 1 - 4), may apply for additional school programs.
The Academy Program encompasses AFL (Australian Football League), Basketball, Cheerleading, Chess, Netball, Robotics, SongSpark and Surfing. Each academy is led by expertly trained teachers and/or external coaches.
Every program provides students with opportunities to experience events, competitions and excursions designed to enhance their skills base, extend their natural talent and inspire them to further success.
Within each Academy , the elevation of a student’s competencies and knowledge base is developed whilst the development of key skills adaptable to every subject are also emphasised. Commitment, diligence and dedication, strength of character and the relentless pursuit and surpassing of their potential are all skills these programs aim to foster intrinsically.
Every participating student must be an exemplar to the entire schooling body in regards to their very high attendance record, exceptional behaviour, commitment to academic success and our values of Care, Respect and Excellence.
