Coolum State High School student, Jessnee, has achieved Queensland’s highest possible ATAR score, 99.95, reserved for only 34 students across the state.  At our 2023 Celebration of Excellence, Jessnee was presented with the Wandama Award, in honour of her being the highest performing Year 12 student at the time of the awards ceremony.  Jessnee also received subject prizes for every one of the subjects she studied.

Jessnee’s result is a credit to her hard work and determination and serves as an inspiration to our whole community.  Jessnee has been supported by outstanding and committed teachers, a wonderful family and a community that is always so supportive of our students.

Meanwhile, Dane achieved an ATAR score of 99.75 to also place him amongst the highest achievers in Queensland.  Dane is a wonderful, thoughtful and hard-working student who has earned the respect of our whole school community.  Dane received the Principal’s Award for his efforts in using education to shape the direction of his life.

Added to this, a large number of Coolum High students have achieved ATAR scores above 90, and above 95, and we are currently working our way through a raft of information that has just come to hand.  We can proudly say that all of our students have achieved either their Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) or Queensland Certificate of Individual Achievement (QCIA).  What a remarkable achievement!

As a community, we can be incredibly proud of our 2023 senior students who have achieved so many wonderful things.  We wish them all the very best for their incredibly bright futures!
