Principal's Welcome

Mr Troy Ascott, Principal

Coolum State High School campus is surrounded by natural beauty which complements the culture of learning, care, respect, and the pursuit of excellence contained within its walls. Here, students are taught in a supportive and nurturing manner, whilst being encouraged to reach for and achieve their individual learning goals. In a competitive educational market, Coolum State High School continues to grow in both numbers and stature, with our potential for excellence limitless.

Our educational programs are designed to develop, not only a love of learning amongst our students, but to prepare them as valuable community members and constructive global citizens. We offer a range of academic, cultural, sporting and technical educational programs delivered by dedicated and professional staff. Your child’s educational journey is facilitated according to their specific interests and individual learning needs, readying them for life beyond school in gainful employment or higher education.

Coolum is an area of tremendous growth and we are building plans to facilitate this development, with a strong relationship with the greater community allowing Coolum State High School students to become caring, involved citizens. As such, our doors are always open to community groups willing to cultivate cohesive and nurturing ties with our amazing students. Our school is growing and this is a wonderful opportunity to grow along with it.

Coolum State High School is bursting with potential and we are ready to ride the waves of success stretching out before us. We are building a future for Coolum State High School and all those who work and learn within it, one which burns bright with possibility and excellence.  Why don’t you come and take a look for yourself?
