From Strength to Strength

​This is the first year that Coolum State High School’s attendance numbers have hit quadruple digits.
 
To assist in the surge of student enrolments, Coolum State High School will be welcoming three new buildings which will offer five additional classrooms. With the school continuing to grow more development work is on the horizion.  
 
Coolum State High School principal Dr Robyn Burton-Ree said it’s a record number of students for the school.
 
"We’ve seen an enormous growth in our school over the past few years," she said.
 
"We’ve gone from around 700 students in 2014 to more than 1000 in the space of just three years."
 
"The school’s great results academically, culturally and within the sporting arena is attracting students from across the Sunshine Coast, interstate and even abroad," she said.
 
Dr Robyn Burton-Ree said that although the school is flourishing, her entire teaching team is dedicated to ensuring every student receives the help and guidance they need to ensure they thrive throughout their high school years.
 
"Our school continues to grow from strength to strength."
 
"We’ve been working hard to create outstanding junior and senior secondary programs that are centred on the school’s core values of care, respect and excellence," she said.
 
"Our teaching programs embrace the needs of our students by engaging them using a range of learning experiences and teaching styles, developing curriculum connections and innovations, and developing constructive relationships."
 
"We are all looking forward to a successful 2017 and seeing the outstanding results our teachers and students produce," she said.
